It’s been a while since I posted. I’ve been busy. One of the things I have been doing is working with a web designer on a web site so my blog will migrate to the web site. It’s beautiful, just needs some copy from me now. You will be able to click on all my books and select the appropriate retailer you want to buy from. Audio books included.
I’ve also put out a new novella in the San Francisco Vampires series called Suckers Go To Hell – A Hannah and Diel Christmas. It is an awesome read anytime of the year and a continuation in the series, so not just a Christmas story. I am starting on the next full length book in the series and let me tell you that Lily and Sebastian are going to have some major changes happening to them. Especially Lily. She has a lot of growing up to do.
I have another novella coming out in the next two weeks called Raven’s Tale that is a prequel to the Stained series, but it won’t make any difference when you read it. It’s about how Raven became a raven. An interesting story, about 87 pages so a healthy novella. Hope you all like it.
Please, please, if you like the books, leave reviews. An Indie author like me depends on them. It really affects the algorithms on Amazon with how they promote books.
I am pleased to announce that Hell Hounds are for Suckers is now available as an audible on iTunes, Audible.com and Amazon. It is the second installment in the San Francisco Vampire Series and a fun short novella. It focuses on the character Hannah. The third book in the series, Sucking Bites is in production right now. All the books are narrated by the talented Valerie Gilbert. I just finished writing another novella – a Christmas story for Hannah’s character that will be the fourth book in the series and will be out for Christmas. Fun, Fun!
Now not to neglect my other series… I have just signed a contract with a native Northern Irish speaker who will be narrating Stained for the audible edition. It is amazing to hear it through her lyrical, gentle accent. I can’t wait to hear Murder of Crows! Which by the way is out and on sale. I just finished a novella for the series as well about Raven and how he became a familiar and raven. It’s in edit mode right now but will be out for Christmas too.
Hoping everyone is well and getting into the holiday spirit. I am just starting to. It’s been a busy work time for me and I love it.
It’s been awesome making this book into it’s audio format. I worked with a great voice artist and producer by the name of Valerie Gilbert. She’s agreed to do the rest of my books as soon as I finance them. I’m hoping that will be soon as Sucking is selling well! It’s available on iTunes, Audible.com and Amazon. It’s a great way to “read” a book if you don’t have time. You just plug in and listen to it on your commute, while you are doing house work or while you exercise. Wherever you listen, I’m sure Lily and her friends will keep you entertained.
….But only by a few days. It should be out by the end of the week. Unforseen circumstances, like falling up the cement stairs ( I know you’re think how do you fall UP the stairs ), and just not enough time in the day. We work until the last minute to get the books out on time and I usually put a tight deadline on my books that can be impossible for everyone involved to meet. So, I take the blame. But I also know it will be worth waiting for. So instead of being able to download it today… take a deep breath and imagine it’s from the heart of Ireland. The air is full of the freshly turned earth, green fields and fresh rain. It’s so nice, you have to take another deep breath to get centered. And this where I leave you and your imagination.
The very talented Miss Valerie Gilbert an actress and author in her own right has agreed to narrate and produce my book Sucking in San Francisco. I am so excited. From the first audition she nailed Lily. She has wonderful French pronunciation and just the right snark when needed *grin*.
The book should be done in the middle of September. I’m counting on you, faithful followers to help me spread the word when it’s out of production. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
Don’t forget that A Muder of Crows comes out around the first of September. Then look for a novella on how Raven became a raven. I also can’t decide if I should write the novella for Sucking first or the next Sucking book and then the novella. The novella is another Hannah book. She goes to visit the in-laws. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about that.
I’ve been working behind the scenes and can now say that Sucking in San Francisco is going to be made into an audio book available through Audible, iTunes and Amazon. Look for it sometime in November/December. I’ll post a firmer date when I have one. Yay! I plan on doing all my books on audio so this is just the start.
Here’s a mock up of my new cover by the talented Marik Berghs. The cover is for A Murder of Crows, which will be out September first. I’d like your feedback on the cover. If any of you have read the first book in this series (Stained – Witch Series), I know I have to think of a better subtitle, you may already have an image of Thorn in your mind. Take this short poll and let me know your thoughts. Click on the photo to make it large. Thanks!
My new book is moving right along. This morning as I sit and look out my window, the Golden Gate Bridge is fogged in and the sky is gloomy, but I have a cup of coffee near by and good music playing. I’m ready to dig in and hit the edits hard today. Special shout out to my street team. They are awesome! We still have room for a few more people if anyone is interested. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org Until next time….
Things are starting to get exciting around here. I have some of you emailing me about joining the street team and let me tell you, I’m blown away by the talent and richness of the readers that have volunteered. But we need more! Part of the mission if you take it will be to beta read first drafts of books to help the author know they are going down the right path. I have one available now and need some more people to read it. Any takers??? When you email me, tell me where you’re from, a little about yourself and how you read, for example, by book, kindle or nook. I’m loving hearing from you guys. Keep it coming email@example.com
